Two important opportunities to support the environmental decarbonization of industry: the Industry 5.0 (Industry 5.0) Transition and the Individual Distance Self Consumption (AID).<\/h2>\n\n

The General Framework of the Transition 5.0 Plan.<\/h3>\n\n

The Transition 5.0 Plan (also referred to as Industry 5.0)<\/strong>, is part of the changes to the PNRR required by Italy with the integration of RePowerEU, and involvesobtaining tax credits for efficiency measures and self-production of renewable energy<\/strong>, with the goal of achieving savings of 400,000 tons of oil equivalent over the next two years.<\/p>\n\n

An endowment of 6.3 billion euros <\/strong> will complement the investment subsidies already provided by the Transition 4.0 Plan<\/strong>, thus forming a comprehensive incentive system to guide Italian industry toward energy sustainability and the technological and digital transformation of production processes.<\/p>\n\n

It is possible to apply for a grant, in relation to expenses incurred on or after January 1, 2024, for interventions falling into these three categories<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n

  1. Energy Efficiency<\/strong>: 3.78 billion euros earmarked for investments aimed at energy efficiency. The measure will reward energy savings achieved in production processes. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Self-Consumption and Self-Manufacturing<\/strong>: 1.89 billion to support the purchase of facilities for self-generation and self-consumption from renewable sources, excluding biomass.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Training<\/strong>: 630 million euros for staff training to facilitate green transition.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

    Companies wishing to benefit from the incentives will have to certify the project “ex ante” through an independent evaluator (e.g., an ESCo – Energy Service Company)<\/strong> attesting to the initiative’s eligibility for fossil fuel reduction criteria. Subsequently, an “ex post” certification will attest to the actual implementation of the interventions and measure the benefit accrued in terms of energy efficiency and self-consumption of renewable energy.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

    The validation process is very similar to that used by the GSE for the recognition of White Certificates <\/strong>on energy efficiency interventions and on which Whitenergy (<\/strong>www.weeg.it<\/strong><\/a>), as a UNI EN 11352-certified ESCo has developed many years of experience in hundreds of projects approved by the Electricity Services Operator.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

    In order to obtain tax subsidies under Transition 5.0, Whitenergy<\/strong> <\/strong>can identify the most beneficial and rewarding sustainable interventions, offering comprehensive support<\/strong> in the implementation of interventions and “ex ante” and “ex post” certification of savings,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

    Individual Away Self Consumption (AID): An Energy Revolution<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

    At the same time, from the Decree on Diffuse Self-Consumption, best known for regulating CERs – Renewable Energy Communities, Individual Distance Self-Consumption (AID) <\/strong>emerges among the most attractive incentive solutions to support the energy transition.<\/p>\n\n

    AID allows the construction of photovoltaic systems up to 1 MWp, connected “virtually” to industrial plants via the local power grid.<\/strong> This mode offers companies, particularly Large Enterprises that cannot access CERs, an<\/strong> important economic advantage, an incentive of up to \u20ac118\/MWh for the share of energy produced by the new system and withdrawn in the same hour from the production site (so-called shared energy).<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

    A key aspect of AID is that since it is a configuration that can be implemented by a single actor, producer and consumer, there is no need to create a new legal entity as in CERs.<\/p>\n\n

    Through the solutions identified by Whitenergy, <\/strong>revenues from the sale of energy on the electricity market, added to the incentive accrued, will allow companies to reduce up to 100% of their energy cost for the “shared” portion,<\/strong> with investment returns, ranging from 2 to 5 years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

    The Decree also provides for positive spillovers to the community<\/strong>, as part of the incentive produced by the company will go to individuals and\/or social purposes that benefit the local area<\/strong>. Also in this context, companies that specialize in consulting on energy issues and the establishment of sustainability and sharing policies are essential in the development of these projects.<\/p>\n\n

    With its solutions on theAID Whitenergy <\/strong>deals with the identification, implementation, and management of photovoltaic systems eligible for incentives from the GSE<\/strong>, including the valuation of photovoltaic energy and the recognition of the incentive, and support in the most efficient management of the portion of the incentive allocated to the community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
