The <strong>IF25 Heat<\/strong> Auction represents a unique opportunity for companies that want to reduce CO\u2082 emissions in thermal processes. <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fundable Technologies IF25 Heat Auction<\/h2>\n\n<div style=\"height:21px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Eligible <strong>IF25 HEAT<\/strong> interventions are as follows:  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">High-temperature heat pumps;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Electric heat generators and\/or electric heat storage systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Heat generation systems on process (e.g., furnaces, dryers) with direct or indirect electrical resistance, electromagnetic, dielectric, or plasma heating;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Solar thermal or geothermal for industrial processes  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Hybrid projects involving mix of technologies.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Innovation Fund 2025 budget and categories<\/h2>\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Budget 1 billion euros, divided into three categories according to the potential of interventions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>150 M\u20ac for interventions producing<\/strong> heat between <strong>100 \u00b0C <\/strong>and 400 \u00b0C and <strong>from 3 MWth to 5 MWth<\/strong> (Max 100 M\u20ac per individual project) .<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>350 M\u20ac for interventions producing<\/strong> <strong>100 \u00b0C and 400 \u00b0C and &gt; 5 MWth<\/strong>. (Max 100 M\u20ac per individual project) . <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>500 M\u20ac for interventions that produce<\/strong> heat &gt; <strong>400 \u00b0C.<\/strong> (Max 250 M\u20ac per individual project)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The grant could potentially cover up to 100 percent of capital expenditures.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Cumulation with local grants for capital and operating expenses is not allowed.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<div grants are awarded on the basis of a downward auction on the cost of CO2 avoided, <strong>based on two parameters:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>The extent of CO2 emission reduction<\/strong> assessed on ETS parameters over the 5 years of operation of the intervention,  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Amount of percentage contribution<\/strong> requested based on eligible expenses incurred.  <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Practical example<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">For example, consider a heat pump producing process heat (&gt;3 MWth, &gt; 100\u00b0C), characterized by an investment of 3 M\u20ac, an annual reduction of 3000 tCO2_eq\/year or 15,000 tCO2_eq in 5 years is expected.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The company requests a contribution of \u20ac2 M (66% of investment costs) for an intervention that produces a saving of 15,000 tCO2_eq, which would correspond to an offered cost of CO2 reduction of <strong>\u20ac133\/tCO2_eq<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The allocation of funds will reward companies that submit a bid characterized by higher CO2 reduction cost efficiency, i.e., lower cost per reduced tCO2 (&lt; \u20ac\/tCO2) ;<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:24px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">The role of ESCos in the innovation fund 2025<\/h2>\n\n<div style=\"height:24px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">CO2 savings at the time of application will be estimated by a qualified and independent third-party certifier (e.g., ESCo), but then it will be necessary to actually measure it with certified and sworn instrumentation, again by a third party;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Disbursement of grants will be made for the first 5 years of production in semi-annual installments based on actual thermal energy production measured and certified by the ESCo.  <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"
