Energy Communities
Solutions for creating, optimizing and managing Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) without upfront investment.
OUR VALUE
Shared energy, real benefits
With Green CER, your business can become an active part of a Renewable Energy Community without worrying about the bureaucratic, technical and management aspects.
Whitenergy, as an Energy Service Company, invests directly in the construction of a photovoltaic system, identifies the most suitable CER participants (prosumers and consumers), and takes care of transferring the shared energy between members, through a complete service of management, monitoring and valorization of the quantities produced and consumed.
Through Green CER, member companies can gain tangible economic benefits from sharing renewable energy, reducing emissions and contributing to the sustainability of the territories.
It is a scalable, transparent and profitable solution designed to make it easy to access CER-related incentives.
PARTNER
GREEN CER | THE SERVICE
Green CER
Green CER is the service dedicated to companies that want to generate, share and value renewable energy through an Energy Community. Whitenergy takes charge of everything from plant design and implementation to the technical and administrative management of the CER.
What we offer with Green CER:
- Design and implementation of the photovoltaic system by Whitenergy.
- Identification of CER members (prosumers and consumers) in line with ARERA and GSE criteria.
- Sale of energy produced in shared mode, with administrative and technical management services.
- Real-time energy monitoring system with flow reporting.
- Comprehensive regulatory and bureaucratic support for the establishment and registration of the ERC.
- Transparent management model: the company earns a direct economic return from the valorization of shared energy, while maintaining control over the project.
SECTORS
To whom Green CER is addressed.
Industrial Materials
Companies in the industrial materials sector with plants concentrated in production areas can create RECs with neighboring companies or public entities. Shared energy enhances local production and strengthens district competitiveness.
Chemist
Companies in the industrial materials sector with plants concentrated in production areas can create RECs with neighboring companies or public entities. Shared energy enhances local production and strengthens district competitiveness.
Textile
Companies in the industrial materials sector with plants concentrated in production areas can create RECs with neighboring companies or public entities. Shared energy enhances local production and strengthens district competitiveness.
Manufacturing
Manufacturing companies embedded in industrial clusters can share the energy they produce with neighboring companies, strengthening collective sustainability and lowering energy costs in a coordinated way.
Food
Agribusinesses can activate an ERC by involving suppliers, local authorities or local small businesses, turning production areas into shared energy sources and enhancing the local area.
Agricultural
Agricultural enterprises or cooperatives can promote RECs in rural areas, involving members, local governments and SMEs, generating widespread benefits for even the most fragile or isolated communities.
Hotelier
Hospitality facilities can become promoters of CER by sharing energy with other facilities or with neighboring public and residential buildings, improving their sustainable profile and reducing operating costs.
Sanitary
Private hospitals, clinics, and health care facilities can lead the establishment of CERs with public agencies or companies in the health care sector, achieving economic and environmental benefits without jeopardizing energy reliability.
ICT and digital technologies
Data centers and digital infrastructures can use the roofs of their buildings to produce shared energy with nearby entities, contributing to the sustainability of the tech sector.
CASE STUDY.
Green CER
The project
Initial situation:
An insustrial company in the wine sector with a production site in northern Italy had high continuous electricity consumption (for refrigeration and bottling) and large areas available for photovoltaics. The company was looking for a solution to improve its environmental impact by involving local agricultural realities.
The intervention:
Whitenergy built a 1.2 MWp photovoltaic system on the roof of the distillery and created an ERC with two supplier farms and a local agricultural cooperative. The energy produced is shared among the participants based on consumption, according to ARERA rules. Whitenergy manages the technical, administrative and regulatory part of the ERC.
Achievements:
- Real-time energy sharing among 4 subjects
- Significant reduction in grid withdrawals for the distillery
- Economic revenue from the valorization of shared energy
- ESG communication integrated into the sustainability report
- No direct investment or management by the enterprise
The project
Initial situation:
A pharmaceutical group with three operating sites (production, R&D and logistics) wanted to start an energy community project to enhance its industrial rooftops and share energy with local entities with high social relevance.
Intervention:
Whitenergy installed photovoltaic systems totaling 2 MWp on two of the group's plants. An ERC was established between the company sites and two third-party entities: a territorial medical center and a care foundation. All planning, permitting, and management activities of the ERC were carried out by Whitenergy.
Achievements:
- Energy shared among 5 entities in the primary cabin perimeter
- Optimization of internal self-consumption and redistributed benefits
- GSE automated enhancement
- Increased ESG score of the group
- Establishment of ERC completed without operational burden on the company
Frequently asked questions
Do you have doubts? Here are the answers about the Green CER service:
-
What is a Renewable Energy Community (REC)?
An ERC is a group of entities (companies, entities, households) that share locally produced renewable energy, such as from a photovoltaic system, gaining economic and environmental benefits.
-
Who can participate in Green CER?
Companies, cooperatives, public or private entities located in the same area (primary cabin) as the plant can participate. Whitenergy selects the most suitable entities and takes care of everything.
-
What are the benefits for a company?
Reduced energy bills, improved ESG profile, use of shared green energy, and an economic return through the valorization of the energy produced.
