White Energy Group organizes in-depth seminar on CHP and white certificates. Appointment Wednesday, Jan. 27 online
Greater investment in the energy transition, achievement of the 2030 and 2050 targets on efficiency, production from renewable sources and emission reduction. These are achievable goals through a tool that Italy activated 15 years ago, first among European countries, the White Certificates that have helped push the decarbonization process, the development of efficient electro-technologies and the digitalization of the industrial sector.
Thus, while the government’s new decree for the revival of these energy efficiency certificates is expected by January, White Energy Group, an Esco based in Verona and Cagliari, is organizing a seminar precisely on the issues of cogeneration (the process that produces electricity and heat together) and the impact of the White Certificates reform on the sector.
It is WhiteFocus 21, entitled ‘Cogeneration and White Certificates 2021: Solutions and Scenarios for Improving Energy Performance of Companies,’ organized by Whitenergy in collaboration with AB Energy – Cogeneration World, Endress+Hauser Group, Turboden spa and with the participation of Fire and Italcogen.
The event will take place on Wednesday, January 27, starting at 10 a.m. on a dedicated online platform (registration is still open), and aims to deepen and provide a range of information necessary for the process of maximizing the benefits of cogeneration in the industrial sector, in particular: the proposed changes and innovations in the white certificate system, the Car (high-efficiency cogeneration) decrees and their impact on companies’ investment strategies, the extension of the energy efficiency certificates market for the years 2021-2026, the technologies available for high-efficiency cogeneration, with some examples of synergy between different technologies in the same plant, the importance of quality measurements to maximize savings in industrial cogeneration applications, investment financing formulas (the Energy Performance Contract models), and the implications for Ets plants.
“The opportunities opened by cogeneration are many,” explains Franco Asuni, Chief Business Developer at Whitenergy, “from energy efficiency in the industrial sector, (energy-intensive companies and others), to energy efficiency certificates for high-efficiency cogeneration (Car) to opportunities related, for example, to new technologies and the EPC (Energy Performance Contract) model. The interest aroused by these topics is high and there is much anticipation for future developments, as evidenced by the nearly 700 registrants at our event.”
THE PROGRAM OF INTERVENTIONS
FIRE – Dario Di Santo – “The evolution of the white certificates scheme.”
ITALCOGEN – Alessandro Fontana – “Cogeneration: market assessment and potential to 2025”
ABENERGY – Marco Cuttica-“Cogeneration, the efficient choice to make Italian companies more competitive and sustainable”
TURBODEN – Alberto Ghidoni-“Steam&Power, innovative technology for high-temperature industrial cogeneration.”
ENDRESS+HAUSER – Massimo Restelli – “The Value of Measurement.”
CEREAL DOCKS SPA- Marco Pengo – “Cogeneration in the Camisano Vicentino plant.”
WHITE ENERGY GROUP – Alessandro Spiri – “CAR white certificates and EPC model: smart solutions to save without investing”
