The Energy Diagnosis provides a detailed study of energy consumption, allocating it among different production phases and departments.
It makes it possible to create a distributed energy model according to the logic of cost centers or utilities, to obtain performance indices, and finally to understand where action is needed to make a process step more efficient.
Diagnosis is the starting point for any optimization strategy: it allows not only to reduce energy costs, but also to access government incentives.

Orange Start
Orange Start is Whitenergy's signature energy diagnostic service, conducted by UNI CEI 11339-certified Energy Management Experts. It enables accurate identification of consumption of production departments or individual utilities (such as thermal power plants or compressor rooms) through portable instrumentation and actual measurement campaigns. It complies with the regulatory requirements of the Dlgs. 102/2014 and allows access to energy efficiency incentives (TEE, Conto Termico, regional calls).

Orange Start
The project
Alkeemia SpA is a chemical plant specializing in the production of hydrofluoric acid, located in Porto Marghera (VE). The plant has a particularly intense energy profile, both in terms of electrical and thermal energy.
Initial situation
Prior to the intervention, the plant was experiencing annual consumption of about 13,000 toe of electricity and 4,400 toe of natural gas. High cooling requirements and thermal loads made the energy system inefficient, with ample room for improvement.
Post-intervention
Thanks to the Orange Start energy diagnosis, it was possible to identify targeted interventions and define a concrete action plan capable of generating measurable benefits in terms of both consumption and costs.

Before the intervention, the plant was experiencing annual consumption of about 2,500 toe of electricity. As the process is characterized by large machines, the cooling process required the circulation of large volumes of tower water.
Post-intervention
Thanks to the Orange Start energy diagnosis, it was possible to identify targeted interventions and define a concrete action plan capable of generating measurable benefits in terms of both consumption and costs.
