The Virtual Energy Platform and VEP Services

The VIRTUAL ENERGY PLATFORM (VEP) is a software platform dedicated to controlling data collected in the field and managing the energy efficiency of enterprise networks.
VEP harnesses the potential ofintegration between control technologies and theIoT world.
It uses real-time data, analytics, IoT technologies and actuations to increase the efficiency level of a grid system. Built according to the logic ofIndustry 4.0, it traces the organizational structure of a company in a modular way, integrating with the customer's core software (data warehouse, SCADA systems, other IoT software), of which it uses functionality and data to implement the chain of activities and processes to increase the efficiency of managed networks. Thecentral hub collects and processes data received from peripheral units, called White Boxes. White Boxes interface with smart-metering instruments for electrical or thermal energy installed at the production unit and send the data collected from the field via the Internet to the central system.
The central system acquires the data, processes it, and makes it accessible to registered users on the VEP web platform, either through SCADA-like visualizations or through widgets. All information for system utilities can be read remotely from PCs or mobile devices via simple login with user id and password from a web browser.
The VEP service is bundled to customers of all White, Blue and Green services, or stand alone for industrial customers who need only the metering and energy intelligence service.
