CER Whitenergy expands its network in Veneto: a new configuration is born in the CabinaPrimaria in Pove del Grappa

Vicenza, Dec. 3, 2025 – The Whitenergy Renewable Energy Community (CER Whitenergy), a reality of excellence in the promotion of sustainable energy models, announces an important and significant step forward, with the establishment of a new configuration in Veneto, connected to the Primary Cabin in Pove del Grappa, in the province of Vicenza. This expansion, which follows the already operational one in Arena Po, in the province of Pavia, strengthens the Association’s mission.

Whitenergy’s growth in the Vicenza area was made possible by the membership of Baggio Srl, a company specializing in the leather and hide trade. The company has chosen to make its approximately 150 kWp photovoltaic plantavailable to the community with an estimated commissioning dateof February 26, demonstrating a marked environmental and social responsibility.

Once operational, the plant will enable the sharing of clean energy with other consumers in the area. This virtuous mechanism will allow the area to have significant benefits: economic, with reduced energy costs for members; energy, with increased efficiency and stability of the local grid; and environmental, with a tangible contribution to reducing emissions.

As of September 2025, the number of qualified configurations (ERCs and CACs) exceeded 2,000, while total operational initiatives (of individual communities or groups) as of last June reached 600. The data indicate that this is, therefore, a winning model on several fronts. It is estimated that more than 60-70% of currently established ERCs operate (or plan to operate) more than one configuration in-house. Excluding condominiums (CACs), it can be argued that the so-called ‘single-configuration ERC,’ consisting of a single facility and a group of users, is now a minority, typical of only the very small initial private initiatives.

On average, each initiative manages about 3.3 configurations, demonstrating that building a strong Energy Community network comes through the ability to aggregate and manage multiple facilities and user groups under a single membership umbrella.

With the new development in the Veneto region, CER Whitenergy not only continues its commitment to sustainability, but also confirms itself as a reference entity that interprets and guides the evolution of the national energy landscape toward open, collaborative models oriented toward the active participation of citizens and, increasingly, businesses.
